Exceptionally good pizza and you can tell how fresh the cheese and basil is. The crust is thin in the middle and it has a little bit of charring from the oven. 10/10. We got 1 pizza to split between 2 people, however we both agreed we couldve eaten more, so we will get 2 next time.
You must try this place. Wood Fired Pizza truck next to a Wine store in the sweet little town of Erwin. Quality ingredients and the crust is cooked perfectly. Give this place a try
I can't tell you how happy I am to have this food truck in Erwin. I come from a large Italian family. I haven't had pizza this good since I was a child. We ordered the cheese bread, so yummy, and pepperoni pizza. The A' Siciliana was the perfect way to top it off. We will definitely be back to try out the other pizzas.
They moved their food truck to Erwin and I can honestly say this was well worth it. You can call and order in for pick up at a designated time and row owners/operators provide 11/10 customer service. We had the cheese and the meat lovers and it did not disappoint. I highly encourage you to leave a tip because they don't force it or even ask for a tip yet they deserve it. I will be going here again.
My family is very intentional about what we eat. We struggle to find places that serve organic food and don’t cut corners. Seed oils, canola oil, and soy are just a few of the reasons we choose not to go to most restaurants. I heard about Basil and decided to go out of my way to give them a try. I called and talked to the owners and was pleasantly surprised that their quality ingredients checked off all of my boxes for things my family can have. Oh, happy day! I am so glad that I gave them a try! The pizza did not leave me feeling bloated and was enough to satisfy me. The coolest part was seeing the basil that they grow in buckets behind the food truck. They aren’t kidding when they say they do everything from scratch! Basil, thank you for going against the grain and doing things with integrity and quality! I can’t wait for my next visit!
